Come see my massive, brightly lit loft in the heart of one of NYC's most exciting neighborhoods!! This loft is PERFECT for large groups, dinner parties and corporate offsite meetings!!

The Space

I'm a photographer and this is my studio, located in what I think is the coolest, most vibrant parts of NYC. This is one of the oldest areas of Manhattan, with many nearby parks, great little restaurants and it's just a few blocks walk from famed areas like Lower East Side (2 blocks), Little Italy (6 blocks) or SoHo (12 blocks). This year I'm traveling a lot for both fun and work this year so I'm listing the space for my fellow travelers to take advantage of. I've blocked out the dates I'm in town, so if it's available, it's all yours.

The space is an artist loft, meaning that it is a live-work space where we do our best to make creative visions come true. It still has some of that raw NYC loft feel and there are lots of fun props around the space we use for photoshoots and general silliness. The light is incredible and there are great views of the Manhattan bridge and freedom tower. Beautiful light floods all rooms in the morning and you'll love the gorgeous tin ceilings which are still intact and over 12' high. It's the top floor, if you're looking for a beautiful space and an adventure you can't beat it! There is a full kitchen that and plenty of places to shop nearby. The loft is huge, the pictures don't do it justice. It's one of the biggest I've ever seen in NYC! We just added a SECOND hot water heater so that larger groups can stay and shower in comfort!

The loft features three private rooms with queen sized beds which I use for visiting models and artists. There's also a large tent in the living room which we use as a tv area. All rooms feature large windows, spacious dressers. There are two full bathrooms and a gigantic living room with three comfy couches. I have a couple extra airbeds too if needed. The space features an elevator, central heat and powerful AC. The space will be professionally cleaned prior to your arrival and fresh linens will be provided. Finally there is a small grocery on the downstairs which is open late and convenient for toiletries and light shopping.

Very early or late check-ins are possible however some additional charges apply after 7pm. Later check-in's are possible for an additional fee. If you are arriving late my assistant will meet you, it's $25 per hour after 7pm and can be paid directly to him.

NYC's new CityBike program is launching a new bike rental station just a block from our front door. We're just a few blocks from the waterfront parks, come take a luxurious ride around Manhattan and see all the sites!

The Neighborhood

The loft is on the border of the Lower East Side and Chinatown. It's truly my favorite part of the city, just blocks away from all the most vibrant, interesting area of New York City. It's alive and exciting and still feels like thriving diverse area for of great photo opportunities and tasty food - exactly what I moved to NYC for! There are hundreds of shops featuring oddities, jewelry and every possible ethnic and fusion cuisine. The Tenement Museum and New Museum are in easy walking distance as well as dozens of galleries. There are also many parks in the area ranging from large city block sized ones to tiny hidden community gardens. One of my favorite things to do is grab a coffee in the early morning and watch hundreds of elderly Chinese people do synchronized Tai Chi in Chelsea Park.

Heading East there are all the bars, restaurants, nightlife and music that make the Lower East Side so hip and desirable. While going west you'll hit Chinatown, Little Italy and SoHo in quick succession.

For more detail check out the Lower East Side Business Improvement website for all the information you might want on restaurants, galleries and more online.

Getting Around

It's a couple short blocks to the Subway and a 5-10 minute walk to SoHo, East Village, historic Little Italy and Chinatown. There are also bike's for rent one block away and its a great place to catch cabs.

TESTIMONIALS

This apartment was easy to rent and the host was great to deal with. I love this part of NYC and it’s really close to lots of subway lines, restaurants etc. There’s a Trader Joe’s less than a block away. It was easy to get to my NY office downtown as well or meet clients for dinner with a short walk. The on-site manager who lives on the 3rd floor was super helpful. Considering this place is a 4-story walk-up, his help getting my suitcase upstairs was invaluable. Be prepared to get a workout in with the stairs. It is a LOT of walking but totally worth it.

We had a wonderful trip to NYC! Charles and his assistant Marlon were very accommodating. The flat was perfect for our group of 6 and the neighborhood was exactly what we were looking for. Our check in and out process was very easy and Charles worked with our flight schedule. This was my first experience with this sort of rental and it was all positive. I would highly recommend renting from Charles.
